AUTOTECH EGYPT 2024
It has been a fruitful and insightful journey to participate in the AUTO TECH International Auto Parts Exhibition in Egypt, focusing on exploring the core aftermarket market of North Africa. As one of the most influential professional automotive aftermarket events across North Africa and the Middle East, the exhibition brought together auto parts wholesalers, repair shop buyers and industry practitioners from Egypt, other North African countries, East Africa and the broader Middle East region, serving as a vital gateway to the African auto parts market.
At this exhibition, we mainly displayed a full range of spare parts for trucks and passenger vehicles, conducting face-to-face communication with overseas buyers and gaining in-depth access to the real market demands of North Africa. Through in-depth one-on-one discussions with local clients, we clearly recognized the unique characteristics of the Egyptian and surrounding markets. The region boasts a large vehicle parc with an average vehicle age of over twelve years, and there is no mandatory vehicle scrappage policy. Coupled with the local harsh operating conditions of high temperatures and heavy dust, vehicle parts suffer rapid wear and tear, creating strong and rigid demand for replacement aftermarket parts with enormous market potential. We also closely examined peer products, gaining valuable insights into the product specifications, pricing strategies and localized sales models tailored for the African market.
The biggest takeaway from this exhibition is that procurement demands in the North African market are highly practical and targeted. Local buyers prioritize product durability and performance stability adapted to local road and climate conditions. They also attach great importance to cost performance, in-stock availability and fast delivery, with detailed inquiries about product compatibility, service life and basic warranty terms. Unlike European and American high-end markets that focus on strict certifications, the North African market emphasizes practicality and high adaptability above all else. Furthermore, an increasing number of Chinese auto parts manufacturers are expanding into Africa, leading to intensified market competition. Pure price competition is no longer sustainable. Instead, localized product adaptation, consistent quality, reliable service and professional technical solutions have become the core competitiveness to gain a firm foothold in the North African market.
During the multi-day exhibition, we efficiently connected with numerous high-quality prospective customers and collected abundant first-hand market feedback and demand data. This exhibition is not only an excellent opportunity to acquire clients and build sales channels in North Africa, but also an in-depth on-site market research. Moving forward, we will optimize our product adaptation solutions, enrich our product portfolio, and improve our quotation and delivery system based on the market pain points and customer demands collected onsite. We will polish products that better fit North Africa’s road conditions and market characteristics, continue to deepen our layout in Egypt, North Africa and the Middle East auto parts markets, and steadily expand our overseas business in Africa. We look forward to reuniting and achieving new breakthroughs at the next AUTO TECH exhibition.
