Function:
This gear fuel feed pump is a vital part of engine low-pressure fuel supply system. Driven by high-pressure fuel pump, it sucks diesel from fuel tank and builds stable low pressure, delivering fuel to high-pressure pump. It provides sufficient fuel supply to prevent cavitation and premature wear of high pressure pump. Built-in overflow structure stabilizes fuel pressure of low-pressure circuit.
Common Failures:
Wear of gear and pump end face causes internal leakage and insufficient fuel pressure, resulting in hard starting and power loss. Aging seals lead to diesel leakage. Stuck gear will stop fuel supply and engine fails to start.
