Function:
This engine-driven gear fuel supply pump delivers diesel fuel continuously to the high-pressure common rail fuel system and maintains stable low fuel pressure. It transfers fuel from tank to fuel filter and feeds diesel to high pressure pump, protecting the common rail fuel system. It is driven by engine gear mechanism without manual priming knob.
Common Failures:
Worn internal gears cause insufficient fuel pressure and weak engine power. Aging seals of pump body lead to diesel leakage. Metal debris generated by internal wear contaminates fuel circuit and damages high-pressure fuel pump and injectors.
